What Are the Main Benefits of Being Part of an Organization?

In UpdateAI, an organization serves as a central hub where teams and colleagues can share meeting recaps and collaborate effectively.

Here are the primary benefits:

  • (MISSED MEETINGS) You have the ability to view the meeting notes of a call you were invited to but could not attend.

  • (KNOWLEDGE TRANSFER) You can review the history of all past meeting notes of calls associated with a particular account.

  • (REVISION) Every member in your organization with access to a recap can make revisions to that recap, provided they are on the Professional plan.

  • (SUBSCRIPTION) You can designate a single payer to purchase and manage all subscription licenses within your organization.

  • (SECURITY) All of the above benefits come with the assurance that each member has strict controls over the privacy of their own meeting recaps.

A high level view of Organizations in UpdateAI

Organizations are for both Basic plan and Professional plan members of UpdateAI.

As of Q3 2023, organizations function in a way similar to a "workspace" in applications like Figma or Notion. However, future updates will introduce the capability for organizations to have multiple workspaces, thus, formalizing the concept of a workspace.

Every member of an organization can determine, either as a global setting or on a per-meeting basis, if their meeting recaps are accessible to other members within the organization. (Read about adjusting privacy settings for your recaps when you are in an organization.)

Provided that recap visibility has been enabled, members can view the meeting recaps of their fellow members within the same organization.

It's crucial to note that members of an organization cannot view the upcoming meetings of others within the organization. The upcoming meetings dashboard remains personal and exclusive to your own meetings.

Is it mandatory to create or join an Organization, even for personal use?

Every new user on UpdateAI is required to join an organization. Should you receive an invitation to an existing organization, you'll have the opportunity to join it during your onboarding process. If no invitation is available, you'll be prompted to create a new organization.

Even for those intending to use UpdateAI solely for personal purposes without any team collaboration, establishing an organization is necessary.

In this scenario, we suggest naming your organization in a personalized manner, such as "[Your Name]'s Personal Organization". By refraining from inviting others to this organization, it will remain a private and personal space dedicated solely to you.
