Call ownership within UpdateAI is pivotal for managing meeting recordings and recap visibility. Ownership is assigned as soon as we receive the meeting invitation into our system.

Here's how ownership is identified:

Automatic Ownership Assignment:

  • If you're the meeting organizer as per the calendar invite and your email address in the invitation matches the one linked to your UpdateAI account, you're automatically assigned as the call owner.

  • In cases where the organizer isn't part of UpdateAI but you are the sole UpdateAI user invited, you're designated as the call owner. This typically applies to meetings you attend that were set up by external parties.

Ownership Among Multiple UpdateAI Users:

  • When a meeting involves several UpdateAI users but the organizer isn't using UpdateAI, ownership defaults to the user with the longest tenure with UpdateAI.

Requesting Ownership Transfer:

Need to change the call owner? Email support@update.ai with the meeting's date and title. Ensure to CC the individual you propose as the new owner.
