Our backstory for context
The story of UpdateAI is a story of data science. "AI" was not merely affixed to our name during the explosion of generative AI in 2023.
When I first started the company in late 2020, I assembled a panel of 4 senior level data scientists to support our first NLP use case: detecting action items in live conversations.
Sergey Kondratiuk took the helm as our Head of Data Science. Chenay Gladstone, with a master's degree in linguistics, assumed the role of Data Annotation Analyst.
Over the course of two years, the team dedicated their efforts to building our technology, a process which we've documented in this open article about our AI process.
Then came this thing called ChatGPT, which knocked everyone's socks off, including our own.
Why this backstory matters?
This is all to say that we have deep pride in the quality of our AI insights. Leveraging ChatGPT and other Generative AI technologies as our backbone today, we continue to apply parts of the proprietary process we developed during the company's early years.
