1. Click on Portfolio Insights from the left side bar menu.
2. When you first see the Portfolio Insights dashboard, you will see two default settings. Within the date range options, UpdateAI will default to 30 days (30D). Within the topics drop down, UpdateAI will default to Risks.
3. The graphs and charts and summaries that follow are based on the insights to which you have access. The number in this blue row will always show you how many meetings are included.
Note: you will see insights from all meetings that are set to workspace visibility regardless of owner, and insights from all meetings that are set to invitee only visibility, only if you were the owner or an invitee. For more information on how to exclude insights and maintain your data hygiene, please refers to Quick Start Guide #9.
4. You can also set a custom date range. This is helpful, for example, if you want to track reactions to a given product launch in the weeks following the announcement.
5. Currently, there are 3 filters that you can apply to the Portfolio Insights dashboard. The first is Accounts. If you have a CRM connection mapped correctly, you can filter by Account name. Otherwise, you can filter by domain.
6. The second is Industry. This field also requires a link to your CRM and that the right fields are mapped.
7. The third is Lifecycle Stage. This field also requires a link to your CRM and that the right fields are mapped.
8. Click on Reset filters to clear all filters and go back to the full view.
9. As with other pages within UpdateAI, you have the opportunity to query all insights within the specified data range by using the Ask Me Anything (AMA) feature.
10. Within the AMA, you can either use our preset prompts...
11. ... or enter your own prompt. Try to be as specific as possible to generate the best results.
12. Once you have your answer — which can take a few minutes — you can take this text to another platform using the Copy All button.
13. You can also clear the chat if you do not want to see the answer again. If you do not clear the chat, the prompt and the response will remain in this window and be viewable next time you open the AMA modal.
14. Click on the x in the upper right hand corner to close the AMA modal.
15. Within the Portfolio Insights dashboard, you can choose between three topics by which to segment insights: risks, product feedback, and advocacy. These topics map to the different sections of insights from each meeting recap. (See Quick Start Guide #6 for more information.)
16. For this first example, I have chosen to explore insights associated with the Risks topic.
17. Once you have selected a topic, you will be presented with a graph showing the number of mentions associated with that topic. Along the right you will see a list of categories of insights associated with that topic.
Note: We only display categories within the legend if those categories have been detected. That means that the list of categories may change depending on the set of meetings or date range selected for analysis.
18. Within the categories section, you can choose from two views. The first is the Timeline view, which shows you the number of mentions by day.
19. The second is the Cumulative view, which shows you the total number of mentions within each category during the time period set in the header rows.
20. If you wish to create your own graphs using your own colors or legends, you can export the data.
21. This results in the data being copied to your clipboard, such that it can then be pasted into any data visualization tool. (We just ask that you not manipulate the data until it is no longer truthful.)
22. Each topic (risks, product feedback, and advocacy) is associated with a number of categories. You can modify these categories and add extras by clicking the Manage categories button.
Note: the ability to manage these categories is limited to workspace owners and admins. We include it hear so that everyone knows about it. If you are not an owner or admin, please reach out to your workspace owner or admin to make your change request.
23. To learn more about each category, click on the question mark next to each name. This will show you how UpdateAI defines this category, as well as the type of context you can add to make the detection more powerful and customized to your business.
24. If you want to add or edit the context, just click the pencil button next to the category you want to embellish.
25. Some categories are known as benchmarks. While you can add context to make these more powerful, you cannot remove them.
26. You can add a completely new category, with or without context, by clicking Add new category.
27. When adding a new category, you are required to give it a name. The context description is optional. When you are finished, click the check mark to save the new category, or click the trash can to delete it.
28. Click on the x in the upper right to close the Manage Categories modal.
29. Once you exit the Manage Categories modal, you will be taken back to the Timeline View of your insights in the Risk topic (or whichever topic you have chosen).
30. UpdateAI offers the ability to summarize all or part of the insights seen in the Categories graph. If you do not see a summary, just click Regenerate AI Summary to have one created. (Any time you change a filter, you will need to regenerate the summary.)
31. Once the summary appears, you can copy the text to your clipboard using the Copy all button.
32. Click on Watch what was said to see snippets of calls that are being referenced in the summary. This is a great way to connect 'evidence from customers themselves' with the summary provided.
33. A new side panel will open with a library of the associated clips. Clicking on each link will take you directly to that moment in the meeting.
Note: you can share these clips directly if you want to. Just select one of more of the clips using the check boxes on the left, and then click the three dots to the right. This will give you the ability to copy the URL (and share those along with the summary) or save the clips to a library of your choosing. (Please see Quick Start Guide #10 for more information about saving and sharing clips within Libraries.)
34. We know that people like to 'click into' categories, so we've made that possible. The first way to do this is just to select one of the categories on the right. This will allow you to isolate just that trend line, without all the others.
35. Additionally, you can scroll down to the subcategory view, which allows you to see the subcategories of insights detected with whichever category you choose.
36. Within the subcategory view, UpdateAI will default to the subcategory with the largest number of insights. By clicking on that drop down menu, you can choose which subcategory you want to explore. In this example, I have chosen Competition.
37. As with the category view above, you can export the data.
38. You can also generate or Regenerate an AI Summary at this subcategory level. (Personally, I find this more useful and actionable.)
39. You can also Watch what was said to see the customer meeting clips associated with this summary.
40. This will open a new side panel showing the library of these clips. Again, you can copy URLs or share the clips from here.
41. While it is not currently possible to sort the clips, you can see details associated with each clip. In this box, you can see the insight detected, the topic and subcategory, the associated domain, and the date of the meeting.
42. To explore the rest of this page, we recommend you go through the above steps for both Product Feedback and Advocacy to ensure you are familiar with the associated categories and subcategories.
43. Within the Product Feedback topic, these categories exist.
44. Within the Advocacy topic, these categories exist.
45. How will you use Portfolio Insights to reduce churn?
