UpdateAI seamlessly integrates with Gong to enhance your existing call recordings with powerful AI-driven insights. Many customers leverage this integration to maximize their investment in Gong by adding deeper analytics and richer customer insights.
When UpdateAI ingests Gong call recordings, it utilizes Gong's transcript while applying its own proprietary AI analysis. For each ingested meeting, UpdateAI generates a detailed Meeting Recap, identical to those created when UpdateAI records calls directly. Additionally, insights from these meetings enrich the broader UpdateAI platform, populating your Account Briefs, Topic Discovery Dashboard, and Insights Newsfeed.
In short, integrating Gong with UpdateAI provides the full UpdateAI experience, ensuring you never miss critical customer insights, regardless of which platform originally captured the call.
Two Ways to Ingest Gong Calls:
Bulk Import: Select multiple historical Gong call recordings to ingest simultaneously. This method is ideal for quickly incorporating historical conversations into UpdateAI.
Real-time, Continuous Ingestion: Automatically ingest and analyze each Gong-recorded call immediately after it concludes, seamlessly and incrementally enriching your UpdateAI insights.
Here's how to connect Gong to your UpdateAI account to activate this integrated functionality.
Important Notices:
The UpdateAI user who sets up the Gong ingestion will be designated as the 'owner' of all meeting recaps generated by UpdateAI for those meetings.
Each meeting can only be imported once per UpdateAI workspace.

How to Set Up UpdateAI's Real-Time, Continuous Ingestion of Gong Recordings
Real-time, continuous ingestion of Gong recordings is currently configured by the UpdateAI professional services team. Unlike bulk ingestion, this setup does not have a user-facing interface. To get started, contact our team at concierge@update.ai, and we'll guide you through the process.
With our real-time integration, you can tailor ingestion to your specific needs. Available filters include Gong Workspace ID and Primary User ID. By default, UpdateAI will only ingest external (customer-facing) meetings.
