What Are Topics?
Topics are thematic clusters of customer insights automatically identified across your external meeting data. They help teams:
Understand voice-of-customer themes across CRM segments
Discover unseen trends in risks, opportunities, and product feedback
Share quantitative VoC evidence with other functional leaders
Identify which customers are expressing similar sentiments or needs
Assign commercial value to customer feedback
Note: Topics are only generated from external meeting data. Internal meeting insights are not included in Topics.
Types of Topics
UpdateAI offers two types of Topics:
Automated Topics
No setup required - created automatically by UpdateAI's AI
Generated from meeting recap insights across your workspace
Optimized to be neither too broad nor too granular
Custom Topics
Created by any user in the workspace
Important: Custom Topics only capture insights from new meetings after the Topic is created (They will not include insights from past meetings unless reprocessing is requested)
