Clips let you isolate and share specific, meaningful moments from a recorded meeting—perfect for highlighting key feedback, customer insights, or walkthroughs.
🧭 What is a Clip?
A clip is a segment of a meeting recording that you can extract and save independently. You might use clips to:
Share a customer quote internally
Highlight an objection raised by a prospect
Demonstrate a product feature shown in a call
✅ How to Create a Clip: Step-by-Step Instructions:
Play the Meeting Recording from the right-hand side of a meeting summary in UpdateAI.
Find the Start Time
Pause the video at the moment you want your clip to begin.💡 Pro Tip: Jot down the timestamp once you’ve found the key moment.
Click "Create Clip"
Use the "Create Clip" button to open the clip editing interface.Give your Clip a Title
You have two options in how you choose the clip time range:
Manually set the Start and End times
Manually enter the start time (e.g.,
16:53)Manually enter the end time (e.g.,
17:40)
Use the sliders to mark the Start and End times.
Click Save Clip
Your clip will begin processing! You'll receive an email once your clip is ready to view (and share!)
Your Clips are Saved in two locations:
1) In your Clips found on the left-hand navigation: here
2) Under "Sharing Clips" tab on a meeting summary.
🔗 Sharing Your Clip
Once saved, you can share clips internally or externally using a shareable link. Clips can be embedded in Slack threads, CRM notes, or product feedback documents.
To Share a Clip:
Navigate to the Sharing Clips tab in the Meeting Recap.
Click into the clip.
Click "Share" in the upper right hand corner
Give the share link a title, select the visibility permissions and expiry date, and click "Generate Link"
You'll now have a unique URL you can share internally or externally (depending on your permissions)

Can’t find the exact timestamp?
Try watching the recording at 1.25x or 1.5x speed to scan for the moment faster.Clip isn’t saving?
Ensure both a start and end time are selected, and they’re within the total meeting duration.
