If you're on a Business account or higher, you may need permission from your Zoom Admin to install UpdateAI inside of Zoom. This is what Zoom calls “pre-approval.”
Generally, if UpdateAI has already been pre-approved by your admin for another user in your account, the approval will have cascaded to you as well.
SIDE NOTE: If you’re curious what type of account you’re under, go to https://zoom.us/account and look under “Account Type”.
FOLLOW THESE STEPS IF YOU REQUIRE PRE-APPROVAL TO INSTALL UPDATEAI:
Step 1: Click “request pre-approval” from the Zoom App authorization page.
Step 2: Your admin will receive a notification from Zoom that you have requested to install our integration, but they will likely have little context for what you want to install or why. More likely, they’ll miss the notification from Zoom entirely.
Therefore, we highly recommend that you send your admin an email to let them know you’d like approval. We’ve created this email template that you can use.
Remember to CC security@update.ai so that we can help respond to any questions they may have.
Not sure who your IT Admin is?
You can find the Account Admin for your Zoom account by signing into your Zoom account and selecting "Account Profile." The Account Owner line will have the email address of your organization's Zoom Account Admin.
Step 3: Look out for an email from Zoom once UpdateAI has been pre-approved to install.
