How to enable participant audio files from your Zoom meetings

Updated over 4 months ago

UpdateAI operates by transcribing the audio files that are part of your Zoom cloud recordings.

Zoom provides us with separate audio files for every participant to enhance the transcription accuracy and better distinguish the speakers.

It's quite simple to manually set Zoom to "record a separate audio file of each participant". You just need to navigate to Settings >> Recording on Zoom.us and look for the above-mentioned phrase.

However, UpdateAI strives to automate this setting for you prior to each meeting. Therefore, it's likely that your company's IT-Security team has locked this setting and you might need to connect with them (refer below).

If this is the situation, you'll notice something similar to this:

We advise you to get in touch with your Zoom admin and elaborate on the benefits you're hoping to achieve through the use of UpdateAI. They can email us at any time with questions or documentation requests at support@update.ai.

If you find yourself in a situation where UpdateAI couldn't process your meeting's recording, and that recording has subsequently been deleted from the Zoom cloud, please refer to the following steps to recover your deleted recording.
