At UpdateAI, we streamline your meeting management by categorizing them into two distinct types: internal vs. external, and those you host vs. those you attend. To ensure optimal recording of your meetings, it's crucial to fine-tune the settings for each category.
Step 1: Connecting Your Calendar
1. Begin by ensuring your calendar is integrated. Navigate to 'Settings' and select the 'Integrations' tab.
2. Choose your preferred calendar platform (Google or Microsoft) and click 'Connect'.
3. Once connected, your email address will be displayed, confirming the successful integration.
Step 2: Configuring Recording Preferences
Next, adjust your recording settings. You'll find four checkboxes for internal or external meetings, along with two toggle switches for meetings you host or attend.
In the provided image, notice that all checkboxes and toggles are green, indicating that all meetings (internal, external, hosted, and attended) are set to be recorded. Modify these settings as needed to suit your preferences.
Additional Guidelines:
UpdateAI initiates bots 30 minutes before your meeting begins. To avoid recording a particular meeting, cancel the recording via the 'Scheduled Meetings' page at least 30 minutes in advance.
If you need to stop a recording during a meeting, you can:
End the recording in Zoom.
Remove the UpdateAI bot as you would any participant in Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, or Zoom (if you're not using the native recording). Note: The bot will not return after being removed or rejected.
By following these steps, you can tailor UpdateAI to perfectly fit your meeting management needs, ensuring a seamless and efficient experience.
